Understanding SIP ALG - Copied

SIP ALG (Application Layer Gateway) is a service on most newer routers designed to help on VOIP systems.  While it is good intended it often causes unwanted issues, such as dropped calls, dropped calls when transferring, phones not ringing, Presence (BLF) not showing, as well as a variety of other issues.    SIP ALG needs to be disabled for MangoVoice Phones to function properly.  To disable SIP ALG, login to your router.  If you do not know how please contact your network administrator.

To find out how to disable SIP ALG on your router use our support search for your specific router. If you’re unable to find help on your specific router please contact Mango Voice support.
