All businesses that use 10 digit long code (10DLC) phone numbers to send text messages require registration with The Campaign Registry (TCR). This is the new standard by mobile carriers to minimize spam, enhance delivery, and increase security.

How Much Does the Registration Cost?
You will have to have a one-time SMS Registration Fee applied to your account alongside a low volume or high volume monthly fee. Below is the cost cost breakdown:
One time SMS Registration Fee: $20
AND one of the following
- Low Vol. (under 100 messages per day) : $4.5 per month
OR
- High Vol. (Over 100 messages per day) : $20 per month
What is Required for 10DLC Registration?
Mango Voice requires the following information:

How long does the registration process take?
The average processing time is 3-10 business days but can be longer, or shorter depending on the registry type, or if we run into rejections.
Can I register multiple numbers for different purposes?
Yes, you can register multiple numbers for various use cases, but each number will require its own registration.
What happens if I don't register my number?
As of February 1st, 2025, all 10DLC SMS traffic must be texting registered. Failure to be registered and compliant will result in deliverability errors, and limited support.
You can still receive inbound messages but your outbound messages will not be received. If you wish to only receive messages and do not wish to send replies, please let us know. This also applies to ALL SMS notifications including missed call texts.

As of February 1st, 2025, all 10DLC SMS traffic must be texting registered.
Where can I find my EIN?
An Employer Identification Number (EIN) also known as Federal Tax Identification Number, is used to identify a business.If you have an EIN for your business but have misplaced it, you can try the following method:
- Check your IRS-issued documentation such as your SS-4 confirmation letter or your Letter 147C
- Ask the IRS for a copy of your Letter 147C by calling the business & Specialty Tax Line at (800) 829-4933
- Find a previously filed tax return for your business
- Google it. However, some states do not display this information to the public.
I’m a Sole Proprietor and do not have an EIN. Can I still register?
Unfortunately at this time, we are not accepting Sole Proprietor registrations. Sorry for the inconvenience. Please let us know if you are interested in Mango making this available for sole proprietors.
Where can I find my CRA BN?
Customers in Canada need a Business Number (BN) in order for us to submit your request. If you have a BN but have misplaced it, you can try the following methods:

Why was my registration rejected?
Your website must have a privacy policy that states, "We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign. We may share your Personal Data, including your SMS opt-in or consent status, with third parties that help us provide our messaging services, including but not limited to platform providers, phone companies, and any other vendors who assist us in the delivery of text messages. All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties."

How can I make my website compliant for texting?
Anywhere a customer can enter their phone number, there MUST be an optional checkbox field with the following verbiage, "By submitting this form and signing up for texts, you consent to receive (update type) text messages from [Company Name] at the number provided, including messages sent by autodialer. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Msg & data rates may apply. Msg frequency varies. Unsubscribe at any time by replying STOP or clicking the unsubscribe link (where available). Reply HELP for help. Privacy Policy [link] & Terms [link]."

I want to use my toll free number for texting. How can I get started?
Toll free numbers go through a slightly different, verification process similar to 10DLC. Upon submission, it can take up to 5 business days to receive the final result of a request. Toll-free verification requests are reviewed manually by the toll-free aggregator. For batch/bulk submissions, turnaround times may vary.
