Yes, you can register multiple numbers for various use cases, but each number will require its own registration.

What happens if I don't register my number?

Unregistered numbers may experience lower deliverability rates, limited support, increased filtering, or even suspension of messaging capabilities by carriers.

You can still receive inbound messages but your outbound messages will not be received. If you wish to only receive messages and do not wish to send replies, please let us know. This also applies to ALL SMS notifications including missed call texts.

Is there a deadline to provide registration information?

While there is no deadline at this time, Mango Voice is requesting this information as soon as possible so that we can ensure your texting does not get disrupted.

Where can I find my EIN?

An Employer Identification Number (EIN) also known as Federal Tax Identification Number, is used to identify a business. If you have an EIN for your business but have misplaced it, you can try the following method:

  • Check your IRS-issued documentation such as your SS-4 confirmation letter or your Letter 147C
  • Ask the IRS for a copy of your Letter 147C by calling the business & Specialty Tax Line at (800) 829-4933
  • Find a previously filed tax return for your business
  • Google it. However, some states do not display this information to the public.

Unfortunately at this time, we are not accepting Sole Proprietor registrations. Sorry for the inconvenience. Please let us know if you are interested in Mango making this available for sole proprietors.

Where can I find my CRA BN?

Customers in Canada need a Business Number (BN) in order for us to submit your request. If you have a BN but have misplaced it, you can try the following methods:

Why was my registration rejected?

Please ensure you go through the following checklist before we submit your registration:

  • Avoid SHAFT-C content, which stands for sex, hate, alcohol, firearms, and tobacco/cannabis
  • Have a website or online presence (i.e., Facebook)
  • Your website must have a privacy policy that states, “Consumer information will not be sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes”
  • Opt-in language where a consumer may enter their number
  • Make sure the contact aligns with your website and/or sample messages

How can I make my website compliant for texting?

If your website is noncompliant with these standards, you may lose the ability to text. To prevent this:

  • Anywhere a customer can enter their phone number, there must be opt-in language, such as “By providing my phone number, I agree to receive text messages from [YOUR COMPANY NAME].” and a checkbox

  • You must have a privacy policy on your website that explicitly states “Consumer information will not be sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes”

    • You can find templates on Google if you do not have a legal team to advise.

I want to use my toll free number for texting. How can I get started?
