How to factory reset the Grandstream GXW4232 ATA Gateway

  1. Ensure the switch is powered on. 
  2. Unplug Ethernet cable.
  3. Locate a needle-sized hole on the back of the panel of the gateway unit next to the power connection. 
  4. Insert a pin in this hole, and press for more than 4 seconds.
  5. Take out the pin. All unit settings are restored back to factory. 

You will want to plug the Ethernet cable back in to be able to log into the web UI of the switch to provision it.

How to provision the Grandstream GXW4232 ATA Gateway to Mango Voice

  1. Power on switch
  2. Obtain IP Address from front screen on switch
  3. Enter IP Address in web browser that is on the same network as the switch
  4. Log into UI. Default username as password is "admin" "admin"
  5. Upgrade the Firmware
    1. Go to "Maintenance" -> "Upgrade and Provisioning"
    2. Select "Always Check for New Firmware" next to "Firmware Upgrade and Provisioning"
    3. Select "HTTP" next to "Upgrade via"
    4. Put in "firmware.grandstream.com" next to "Firmware Server Path"
    5. Scroll down and click "Save and Apply"
    6. At the top right of the screen click "Reboot" then "OK"
    7. Wait about 5-10 min and then try to log back into the switch and make sure it has updated to the latest firmware. (you can find what the latest firmware is here)
  6. Add provisioning settings for Mango
    1. Add device MAC Address to the device in the PBX
      1. MAC Address can be found on the front screen on the switch, on the bottom of the switch
    2. Go to "Maintenance" -> "Upgrade and Provisioning"
    3. Select "HTTP" next to "Upgrade via"
    4. Put in "profiler.mangovoice.com/profiler/grandstream/" next to "Config Server Path"
    5. Select "No" next to "Allow DHCP Option 43 and Option 66 to Override Server"
    6. Scroll down and click "Save and Apply"
    7. At the top right of the screen click "Reboot" then "OK"
