How do notifications work on the Web App?

We're always innovating how you're informed of what's going on in the office.

The problem

In our old Desktop app, you used to get System Level notifications. You'd see a notification bubble on the icon itself, you'd see the notification build up on your operating system..

We're working on building this into our new Web App. The internet browser is a powerful tool that allows us to do a lot more amazing work than we could on our Desktop app. We were limited in a lot of ways. The web allows for a lot of amazing opportunities.. one of the few drawbacks is notifications.

We're limited with the browser you use. It gets a lot more complex pushing notifications through the browser, so for now, we're avoiding it.

What are we doing instead?

Instead, we're creating a tally system to automatically update as new texts pop in.

This will eventually be added to Voice, Voicemail, and Fax.

Hear that sound?

We're looking into adding a sound notification so that you'll hear a nice ding (I'm not sure what the "sound" is yet...), that will play when you get a new text, voicemail, fax etc.

We understand that this might affect your workflow negatively, and we're really working hard to make your Mango Experience amazing by improving how you're notified.
